IC-BK10: After period of rest, first key I type appears 3-5 times
Keyboard Q&A
If I haven't used the keyboard for a period of time (it could be as short as 15-30 seconds without typing anything, or longer), the first key I hit/type will appear on screen as if I actually hit the key anywhere from 3 to 5 times - so if I wanted to type "D" it might appear on my screen "DDDD." Sometimes it happens if I switch to using the number pad even if I've been using the rest of the keyboard. It doesn't happen every time I have any sort of break from typing, but it does happen frequently and will definitely happen many times throughout the day (or even in just one hour). It can happen if I type with whatever pressure I regularly type with or if I'm intentionally trying to test the pressure with the lightest of touch, so it's not like I'm heavy-handed and I just have to be a little more delicate.
I've used it with both a MacBook Pro and a PC laptop (Windows 10) and always elect to download any software, firmware, etc... updates with both computers. It happens on full charge, near empty charge, and everywhere in-between, laptop plugged in or running on battery...it doesn't seem to matter. I've even un-paired and re-paired the keyboard with the computers.
So basically I feel like I've tried to do all the random troubleshooting tips that I could think of and that I'd figure a manufacturer or technician would suggest...yet it still happens. What's going on, is there anything else I can try or that iClever can do to help me? In the grand scheme of things, the keyboard works and the glitch would probably be considered a "minor annoyance." However, when I use the keyboard regularly and this glitch happens as frequently as it does, those individual minor annoyances add up, waste time, and potentially create errors.
Please help, someone (anyone)! Thank you in advance.
