There's been this humming noise coming from the front of my 2016 320i that gets louder the faster I go. It started subtle a few weeks back and now it's obvious enough that my wife noticed it from the passenger seat. I'm fairly sure it's a wheel bearing but I'm not a mechanic so I could be completely wrong. I took it to a shop near my place and the guy drove it around the block then told me it was probably just tyre noise, which honestly didn't convince me because the tyres are only six months old. I don't want to keep guessing and end up replacing the wrong thing. Someone at my office mentioned there's an Affordable BMW repair garage in Al Khan that a few people in his building use, but I haven't had time to look into it properly. Has anyone here dealt with a wheel bearing or diff noise on their 3 series? How did you confirm what it actually was? And does anyone have experience with shops in that area, good or bad? I'd rather hear from real owners than keep rolling the dice.
